The house-house

The house-house

Okay, these are in progress photos, not after photos. (I feel like I've said that before?) After I've hung some stuff on the walls, installed hardware, fluffed pillows, made children get dressed, etc. I will post a few more. And since it is just so much better with before photos, I'll put a few of those in here too.

The old photos were taken the day we got keys (about 6 weeks ago), and the new photos were all taken yesterday afternoon. It was the first day of spring break (note the kids in PJs) and lets be honest, the house will get progressively messier each day, so I grabbed my camera and took a few photos. Mostly of the downstairs, because the upstairs in not this clean. :-)

Prepare yourselves, a whole lot of photos ahead. Also, I've been fighting with typepad all morning and it just won't cooperate on picture size. Sorry they are all different.

Here goes...

Little different, huh? Still need hardware on the cabinets, but we are working on it.

Okay, just two more things, because I have rambled on long enough only my mother could make it through (hi mom!). I got this growth chart a while back on Etsy and finally hung it. Yesterday I measured the boys and marked it. This morning they both came tearing into my room yelling "We grew, we grew!!" According to them, they both grew one whole line last night. :-) It is a very exciting day over here.

Also, it is now my favorite thing in the house.

And the reason I'm not showing you my sewing room yet...

COR_8598
Because it currently looks like this. Hoping to dig out tonight.

Feel free to head on over. Bring treats. It's been a looooong road. We need treats.

Quick note to the husband- Thanks. For working your guts out, for not getting overwhelmed, for putting up with my emotional breakdowns, and for seeing potential in this house when I couldn't. And again for working your guts out. Love you.

Happy Tuesday!

For more maybe house posts (including why it was called the maybe house): Before, cabinet closeup, a peek at wood floors, and somewhere in the middle. Oh, and the fireplace.

Update: An update 6 months down the road here.
